The school will be held at the Asiago Astronomical Observatory [Via Osservatorio 8, 36012 Asiago (VI), Italy]
The Astrophysical Observatory is located in Asiago, a renowned mountain destination in the heart of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni, at an altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level, in the province of Vicenza.
Situated just outside the town center, the Observatory is reached via a small uphill road branching off from the provincial road toward Bassano del Grappa. The Observatory stands on a hill, where its buildings and domes are surrounded by a dense fir forest.
Getting to Asiago:
*By Train: Asiago is not directly served by rail. The nearest train stations are Vicenza, Bassano del Grappa, Thiene, and Padua, from which regular bus services connect to Asiago.
We recommend traveling via Padua, which generally offers the most convenient connections, especially for international participants.
*Organized Transfer: We are organizing a bus transport from Padua to Asiago. More details will be given in due time. Alternatively, participants can reach the site independently.
*By Air: The nearest airports are
From the airports, we recommend reaching Padua by train or bus and then using the organized transfer or public bus service to Asiago.
